Student files FIR against PhysicsWallah for screening 'obscene scene' in class
23-year-old Rupesh Kumar Ojha, a seventh-semester student, passed away on Saturday night due to deteriorating health at Birsa Agricultural University (BAU) . The sudden death sparked anger amongst fellow students which lead to vandalizing the Vice Chancellor's residence.
Rupesh reportedly experienced difficulty in breathing and restlessness around 7:30 pm. Concerned classmates immediately alerted warden, Neeraj Kumar and attempted to administer aid by providing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
BAU ambulance was unavailable due to repairs. In its place, the BAU administration promptly arranged a Bolero. Rupesh was rushed to RIMS, where doctors unfortunately declared him deceased around quarter to nine.
Many students directed their frustration towards Dean Dr. DK Shahi and Dean Dr. MS Malik. Between 12:30 and 1:30 am, over 100 students gathered at the residence of Vice Chancellor Dr. Sunil Chandra Dubey. Fueled by grief and anger, the students entered the residential complex and vented their frustration by vandalizing government vehicles, windows, and flower pots.
The situation eventually calmed down after police officials intervened, assuring the students that they would address their grievances with the Vice Chancellor on Monday. Meanwhile, Rupesh's post-mortem was conducted on Sunday.
